Welcome to Off the Trail South Africa!

Over the next couple of weeks, this blog will focus on John and Albert's journey to complete the Freedom Challenge 2011. A 2350km unsupported mountain bike race/tour across South Africa. Traveling from farm to farm in some of the most beautiful and remote location of our country. I will be tracking their progress, providing updates, and posting content from directly the trail as it becomes available.

Please remember to visit the "Mariazell High School" section of this site. Funds raised through this site will be used to support the Freedom Challenge Scholarship Fund that supports. More information of this worthy cause will follow shortly.

Regular updates will be posted in the 'Main Blog', while information pages on the right shows more detail about the cause, the race, the riders etc.
