Day 4 - Masakala to Malekholonyane

Great day for the team as they finish early and manage to get some rest. This is the first day that they completed in daytime after three days of cycling from before until after dark.

The days are getting progressively colder. The picture below shows the snowy mountains up ahead, while the on-board thermometer shows a mere 5 degrees already.

Cellphone reception continues to be a challenge in the remote part of the country. On the way today, they at least had access to a color coded lavatory in the middle of nowhere. From the picture, I can't confirm that there were leaves readily available, but it is one of the little things they need to hang on to get themselves mentally through this incredible journey.

The destination for tomorrow is Vuvu Village 74.5km further. The race is way too big to try and comprehend in totality. The only way to get through this is to take a single day at a time.
